Garner and Nolte Join Arthur Remake

THR reports Jennifer Garner and Nick Nolte may join the cast of Arthur.

The movie, a remake of the 1981 Dudley Moore comedy, stars Russell Brand as a very rich, happy drunk who is told by his mother that he must marry the wealthy girl of her choosing (Jennifer Garner) or else lose his inheritance. Things get complicated when he meets and falls in love with a poor girl (Greta Gerwig). Nolte would play Garner’s deeply religious father. Helen Mirren also stars.

Jason Winer will direct the movie for Warner Bros.
