It’s no secret that Butter, the new film from director Jim Field Smith, is a parody of the 2008 Democratic presidential primary. The film revolves around a woman’s (Jennifer Garner) extreme competition with a young African-American girl (Yara Shahidi) in a butter sculpting contest, with the characters representing Hilary Clinton and Barack Obama, respectively. It’s a pretty obvious metaphor, but just in case it’s not clear enough for you, check out the first clip from the film, which was released over on the movie’s first viral site:
Check out the trailer for Jennifer Garner’s upcoming film, The Odd Life of Timothy Green!
The fantasy flick centers around Cindy (Garner) and her husband Jim Green (Joel Edgerton), a childless couple desperate to have a baby.
After many failed attempts of natural conception, they imagine what kind of child they would like to have and bury all those wishes in a box in their backyard. Soon a mysterious child is born, though Timothy Green is not all that he appears.
The star of a big Hollywood film typically walks the red carpet at the premiere in a scene-stealing gown. But Jennifer Garner didn’t appear to dress to impress at the New York screening of her film Arthur last night. While her grey and lace ensemble was certainly elegant, it was a safe and somewhat uninspiring choice to promote the film. The 38-year-old actress teamed the backwards cardigan-style top with a form-fitting skirt and black heels, but was upstaged by her co-star Helen Mirren

Jennifer Garner has revealed she’s ‘very familiar’ with Russell Brand’s nether regions. The actress, 38, got intimate with the Brit funnyman on the set of their new remake of Arthur. Jennifer, who is married to actor Ben Affleck, told David Letterman that she became particularly acquainted with Brand’s bits in a two-day filming sequence where he wore a pair of skimpy briefs.
‘He was in his underwear and they were very handsomely made,’ Garner said. ‘In order to do the shot we started in a confined space. It was Russell and me on all fours. We did it over and over again so I spent two days just right up against it. I’m very familiar in my own way with the anatomy of Russell Brand… and it’s good.’
Looking taken aback Letterman quizzed, What about your husband? Is that ok?’ ‘It’s not like I was playing with it,’ said Garner. ‘It was part of the scene it was work. I wasn’t excited to be, it was just there.
‘That’s what I did that day at work.’ Asked how she told her husband about the scene, Garner joked, ‘I just got home and he said, ‘How was your day?’ and I said ‘Honey, it was balls’.’

Jennifer Garner has landed the title character in Walt Disney Pictures’ upcoming big-screen adaptation of Agatha Christie’s ‘Miss Marple’ mystery novel series.
According to IGN, the character – immortalized in countless films and TV shows over the past 50 years – is traditionally an elderly woman, but Disney’s reboot will revolve around a much younger Marple cracking crimes. According to Deadline.com, Mark Frost – who has experience with mysteries, having scripted much of David Lynch’s Twin Peaks – will write the script, while Garner will produce through her Vandalia Films company, with Disney overseeing the project, reports News.com.au.
